Insomnia X Resonate Gaming Festival Kicks Off This Weekend in Glasgow

Scotland’s biggest gaming festival kicks off this weekend in Glasgow with a host of video game-related events.

Two of the biggest names in video game events, Insomnia and Resonate, are joining forces to bring the UK’s biggest gaming festival to Glasgow this weekend. Over 10,000 gaming enthusiasts are expected to converge for Insomnia X Resonate, taking place at the Scottish Event Campus from 21-23 July.

Advertised as Scotland’s “gaming event of the year,” the festival has been designed “with gaming enthusiasts at its core,” offering a wide range of programming to satisfy all ages.

Andy Smith, Director of the Insomnia Gaming Festival, said: “We’re delighted to be returning to Scotland, following a fantastic three days of video game celebrations in 2016, and teaming up with the Resonate team to deliver an even better event.”

The inaugural Resonate gaming festival took place in Glasgow last year, offering E-Sports tournaments, YouTube talent, the Razer Bus, and more, to an audience of over 6500. The Birmingham-based Insomnia is the UK’s biggest gaming festival, with their 60th event in Easter attracting over 50,000 visitors.
